We decided that we wanted to build a mod for Minecraft after learning about the open theme for the learning track. We decided that it would be both fun and challenging to try and make some of the Fire Emblem weapons.

In terms of true functionality, it has almost no benefit. However, our project is just meant to be a fun learning experience used by others for entertainment, and maybe by us.

We mainly divided into two groups. The people with less experience coding observed the true coding, but also worked on drawing the image sprites. The other member, worked on most of the code using his knowledge from previous experiences to quickly compile the code.

The main challenge we ran into was trying to get the UI to work. We wanted to create new crafting menus to create the new items, but this posed a huge problem as we couldn't find anything to reference. Another problem was getting the aspects of each individual item accurate.

My accomplishment that I'm most proud of is getting all of the art done (minus the UI interfaces) within the fist night/morning. We got the entire project close enough to complete by lunch that we could slow down and go more in depth.

I learned a lot from this experience. I learned how to shade objects more precisely, as well as the basics of java and a little about json. My main focus was the pixel art, but I had enough time to observe the code to learn a little.

For what's next, we would love to get the UI working to where we can have the new blocks do the jobs we intended for them to do. Also, there are a couple other weapons that we would like to implement. Other than these, we believe we have done an amazing job on this mod.
