Inspiration

Firefighters have faced increasingly difficult time in combating residential, commercial and industrial fires. This is largely due to the lack of information given or available.A system is needed to provide insightful knowledge and status of the fire.

What it does

We propose a system that utilizes a web application to help visualize real time data. This data would then be used to track the origin of the fire, and the approximate extent of damage. This data would also be used to help predict how it would spread given an estimated time of arrival. The development of a smart array of sensors is also discussed. The technological infrastructure will be outlined in the following proposal.

How we built it

We used a combination of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to build the UI to be the front end for the user. We also used SoildWorks to build a model/design of the detector.

Challenges we ran into

Miscommunication of what we intended to design. We had to all be on the same page before moving forward.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Proud of the concept that we came up with, it is both practical and feasible. It is idea that can be implemented into the real world.

What we learned

How to communicate our ideas clearly, and how to properly document the project as we move forward.

What's next for Fire Analyzing Smart Detector

Future possibilities could involve producing a fully functioning prototype and look into integrating the tools and device to current products like google home.
