Inspiration

I built this app because I wanted to create a simple tool for people to gain financial literacy.

What it does

It help Canadians build financial skills, all while maintaining engagement through personalization. It has a quiz assessment to check your financial literacy, Also have a quiz based on your financial literacy level to help you learn. If you want to learn more about different financial and economic terms you can check out the glossary.

How we built it

It was built using html, css and typescript. Leveraged different websites to get the questions. Also used goggle gemini to clean up the code.

Challenges we ran into

The key challenge was generating the questions. Initially focused on North America but decided to focus on Canada only.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Happy I was able to build the app.

What we learned

Financial literacy is a very massive topic.

What's next for finWise

Continue to add more content, update the quiz section, add new tools (credit card comparision) and templates (budget tracker)
