Inspiration

The inspiration for Fintelli came from the growing need for individuals to manage their finances more effectively in a fast-paced world. Many people struggle with budgeting, tracking expenses, and making informed financial decisions. We aimed to create a solution that not only simplifies personal finance management but also empowers users with the insights they need to take control of their financial future. Our vision is to combine cutting-edge AI technology with user-friendly design, making financial management accessible to everyone.

What it does

Fintelli is a personal financial management tool that allows users to effortlessly track their income and expenses through an intuitive web interface. The standout feature of Fintelli is its AI assistant, which provides real-time insights and answers to users' financial questions. Users can input their financial data, receive personalized advice, and gain a deeper understanding of their spending habits, all while keeping their information secure and private.

How we built it

We built Fintelli using SambaNova Cloud, which allowed us to leverage its lightning-fast inference speeds to power our AI assistant. The development process involved:

• Front-end Development: We used NextJS & Tailwind to create a responsive and user-friendly interface that ensures a smooth user experience.
• Back-end Development: The back-end was powered by Supabase as database and vector store.
• AI Integration: We utilized open-source models on SambaNova Cloud for natural language processing, enabling the AI assistant to understand and respond to user queries effectively.
• Data Security: We implemented robust security measures, including data encryption and secure authentication, to protect user information.

Challenges we ran into

During the development process, we faced several challenges:

• AI Model Training: Fine-tuning the AI model to accurately understand and respond to diverse financial queries required extensive testing and iteration.
• User Experience Design: Balancing functionality with a clean, intuitive design was a challenge, as we wanted to ensure users could easily navigate the platform without feeling overwhelmed.
• Data Security: Ensuring that sensitive financial data was handled securely added complexity to our development process, requiring us to stay updated on best practices.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of several accomplishments throughout this hackathon:

• Seamless AI Integration: Successfully integrating the AI assistant to provide real-time financial advice was a significant milestone for us.
• User-Friendly Interface: We created a clean and intuitive interface that received positive feedback during user testing.
• Rapid Development: Utilizing SambaNova Cloud enabled us to build and iterate quickly, allowing us to focus on refining features and improving the user experience.

What we learned

This hackathon was a tremendous learning experience for our team. We gained valuable insights into:

What's next for Fintelli

• Mobile App Development: Developing a mobile app version of Fintelli to reach a wider audience and provide users with on-the-go access to their financial information.
• Community Engagement: Establishing a community platform where users can share tips, insights, and experiences related to financial management.
