Inspiration

Many people struggle with overspending, and lack of savings and financial planning.

What it does

FinTechstic Chronicles is a Financial Goal Planner website that helps users achieve their financial goals. Users can input their goals, and the platform generates a personalized savings and payment plan with actionable steps and budgeting recommendations. Additionally, the website visualizes users' spending patterns, making it easier to track their financial progress.

How we built it

We utilized the MERN stack for building this website and PropelAuth to ensure user security. We also leveraged OpenAI API to support the financial plans.

Challenges we ran into

As a team of 3 virtual participants living in different timezones, it was a bit difficult to coordinate. However, we collaborated really well and appreciated each other's support.

What we learned

We learned how to build with Express.js and got to know PropelAuth. This was also an experience that allowed us to deepen our understanding of React.js.

What's next for FinTechstic Chronicles

We want to add other resources about financial literacy to the website. We want to expand the resources into some articles, videos, or quizzes so that user can understand more about controlling their finance.
