Inspiration

We initially explored the idea of building yet another chatbot, but quickly realised it felt overdone. Instead, we pivoted toward something more meaningful an internal system designed to support new hires and introverted team members who often struggle to navigate enterprise tools. Leaning into a finance-centric theme naturally led us to create a document extraction and enterprise search solution.

What it does

FinSuite is an enterprise search platform integrated with an intelligent document-extraction engine. Users can retrieve information, analyse documents, and complete workflows through a single chat interface no need to navigate multiple internal systems. It brings everything together into one seamless, end-to-end experience.

How we built it

We built FinSuite using a combination of AWS services and several tools provided during the event. These powered our retrieval, document processing, and automation layers while enabling us to prototype rapidly.

Challenges we ran into

Although our team had prior experience with AI coding, this was our first time working entirely through vibe coding. We limited ourselves to make the challenge more interesting and to stay true to the spirit of the event. This caused a bit of an issue as our team was mostly consist of Backend Developers.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We’re typically slower when developing new projects, but this time we surprised ourselves. We were able to get a functional base system up and running within just a few hours a huge milestone compared to our past project timelines.

What we learned

AI turned out to be far more powerful and capable than we expected, especially when paired with the right tooling and constraints.

What's next for FinSuite

We plan to expand FinSuite with powerful enhancements such as: Performance dashboard (metrics, usage insights, and historical trends) Voice assistant integration Downloadable reports User access matrix Automated scheduler and workflow orchestration
