🪙 Inspiration

As global economic structures transition toward decentralized intelligence and hyper-volatility, traditional financial literacy tools have become obsolete. We were inspired by the idea of a "Strategic Wealth Architect"—a tool that doesn't just track your money, but simulates the fiscal consequences of your decisions before they are realized. We wanted to build a "Mission Control" for personal finance that bridges the gap between complex economic theory and everyday wealth management.

🛠 What it does

FinSight AI is an immersive, AI-driven financial intelligence hub. It features:

  • Finny AI Advisor: A context-aware neural advisor providing recursive strategy and risk audits.
  • Economic Time Machine: A stress-testing engine that lets users run their 2026 portfolios against historical events like the 1929 Depression or the 2008 Crash.
  • CFO Intelligence Hub: A professional-grade dashboard for managing revenue streams and strategic budgeting with real-time surplus tracking.
  • Wealth Path Studio: 30-year tax-aware growth projections with inflation adjustment.
  • Market Pulse: Real-time economic intelligence grounded by Google Search to ensure every piece of advice is backed by current market data.

💻 How we built it

We built FinSight AI using a high-performance, intelligence-first stack:

  • Frontend: React 19 and TypeScript for a robust, type-safe architecture, styled with Tailwind CSS for a "Brutalist-Modern" aesthetic.
  • Intelligence Engine: A multi-model Google Gemini implementation: Gemini 3.1 Pro for complex financial reasoning and deep strategy audits. Gemini 3 Flash for low-latency simulation logic and real-time interactions. Gemini 2.5 Flash TTS to give "Finny" a voice.
  • Grounding: Integrated the googleSearch tool to provide real-time market verification.
  • Data Visualization: Recharts for institutional-grade financial modeling and projection.

🚧 Challenges we ran into

One of the biggest challenges was ensuring the Recursive AI Simulations remained grounded in reality. Balancing the creative "what-if" scenarios of the Economic Time Machine with accurate financial math required strict prompt engineering and multi-model verification. Additionally, designing a UI that felt "professional-grade" yet "accessible" led us to develop our unique "Mission Control" design system, which prioritizes information density without sacrificing clarity.

🏆 Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are incredibly proud of the Economic Time Machine. It’s not just a gimmick; it’s a powerful educational tool that helps users understand the cyclical nature of markets. We’re also proud of the CFO Intelligence Hub, which transforms the mundane task of budgeting into a strategic exercise in "Net Cash Flow" optimization, making users feel like the CFO of their own lives.

We learned that the future of wealth management isn't in the accumulation of data, but in the perfection of strategy. Building this app taught us how to orchestrate multiple AI models to handle different tasks—using "Pro" for the heavy lifting and "Flash" for the speed—creating a seamless user experience that feels truly intelligent.

🚀 What's next for FinSight AI

The roadmap for FinSight AI includes:

  • Collaborative Wealth Rooms: Real-time multi-user "War Rooms" for family or business financial planning.
  • On-Chain Integration: Expanding the DeFi Explorer to allow for safe, simulated interactions with live liquidity protocols.
  • Predictive Life Events: Using AI to predict potential fiscal shocks based on global economic trends and personal spending patterns.
