Inspiration

My team realised not many people have access to financial services or know which is real or fake. This surprised us, given the growing technologies in Nigeria.

What it does

Our application serves as a central platform for different financial products, the idea behind this is bringing the financial sector to our users on the go. Our users have the option of getting instant access to things like using multiple bank services from one platform. We also included certified growing fintech products on our application to introduce Nigerians to new technological solutions being developed. Our application has an added feature of using artificial intelligence to classify text messages or emails as fraudulent or not, in an effort to combat fraud practices in Nigeria. Our application also has a token feature whereby, the more a user uses our application they get tokens, which can be used to claim discounts on their transactions such as loan interests or payment transactions. Our application also uses our users BVN to help them access their multiple accounts on the go, in things like getting financial resources from multiple accounts for payment options instead of the hassle of multiple bank transfers to buy their next gadget for example.

How I built it

Given the limited time, we used fast web technologies such as Bootstrap 4 and EJS. We used HTML/CSS, JavaScript, node.js, express.js for both back and front end development. The AI model is of course based in python.

Challenges I ran into

Implementing our large scale idea to the details in limited time was a challenge.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Creating this central hub to help people, especially in poor communities, connect with the financial sector of Nigeria and drawing more people to digital finance is something I am proud of.
