Finovate was inspired by the need for accessible and personalized financial empowerment tools that help individuals make informed financial decisions. The goal is to create a platform where users can access budgeting, investment tools, financial education, and AI-driven advice in one place, tailored to their specific needs.
What it does
Finovate is a financial platform designed to help individuals take control of their financial futures. It offers:
AI Financial Advisor powered by Gemini AI to provide personalized financial guidance.
Budgeting tools to track income, expenses, and savings goals.
Investment tools, including an SIP calculator to track the growth of monthly investments and an EMI calculator for efficient loan repayment planning.
Global Finance Explorer, an interactive world map where users can select a country to learn about its unique financial practices.
Engaging learning content, including videos and quizzes to enhance financial literacy.
How we built it
Finovate was developed using the following technologies:
Frontend: The platform was designed with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to create a user-friendly interface.
AI Integration: We integrated Gemini AI to provide personalized advice for financial planning and investment strategies.
Authentication: Auth0 was used for secure and seamless user authentication.
Interactive World Map: The Leaflet.js library was used to create an interactive world map. Users can select a country, and the platform displays the financial practices relevant to that country. We utilized Leaflet's map tiles and markers to represent different countries and regions.
Learning Tools: The platform also includes interactive videos and quizzes to educate users on financial management.
Challenges we ran into
First time implementing Auth0: As this was our first time using Auth0 for authentication, there were some learning curves in setting up secure login, registration, and managing user sessions.

What we learned
Integrating AI: We gained valuable experience in integrating Gemini AI into real-world applications, particularly for providing personalized financial recommendations.
Auth0 integration: Implementing Auth0 for the first time allowed us to understand the nuances of secure authentication, session management, and user data protection in a web application.
Leaflet integration: Using Leaflet for the interactive world map taught us how to work with geospatial data and create engaging, user-friendly maps that can display complex information dynamically.
What's next for Finovate
Expanded investment tools: We plan to add more advanced calculators and tools to assist users in analyzing different investment opportunities, such as stocks and real estate.
Mobile App Development: We will work on developing a mobile app to allow users to manage their finances on the go.
Community features: Adding options for users to interact, share financial tips, or even collaborate on budgeting and investment plans with peers.
