Inspiration
We had a broad idea of which space we want to solve for which was consumer finance. We researched the issues different demographics of people face with savings, fees, access to capital. Accordingly we added features we feel would help the user save money on everyday things which they sometimes do not have knowledge about, are hesitant to put in the effort or simply need some analytics and insights for.
What it does
The app is meant to help the user find deals, negotiate on their behalf, track their expenses and provide them insights to better save money.
How we built it
We thought of the individual features and capabilities we need and what would be most useful to the user. We used Lovable to generate most of the code. Using prompt engineering and manual coding we made further tweaks to it
Challenges we ran into
Making lovable make backend-logic edits to the app was harder than expected
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Learning lovable to build the product so quickly
What we learned
AI powered app builders are insanely powerful and useful It is still good to have technical background to debug
