Inspiration
We wanted to tackle a problem which we saw in society which was financial illiteracy. Half of the problem is not knowing where to go for information. So we sought to bridge the gap between the people and information.
Fingo seeks to provide financial information in a single place to help the average man on his journey of financial Literacy.
What it does
Fingo is a mobile and web -compatible application which:
- Provides the geographical locations of financial services i.e [Banks, Brokerages]
- Distributes information about the service provided by these locations
- Facilitates the acquisition of financial information via podcasts, blogs and newsletters
How we built it
We had used Typescript as the primary language, Firebase for hosting, Leaflet.js for the map and React.js to create the components
Challenges we ran into
- Solidfying our idea.
- Deciding whether to make it web or mobile based
- Authentication and Authorization for Firebase using typeScript
- The Design of the interface to make it user friendly but also designed well

What's next for Fingo
What is next for Fingo,is possibly building a educational/ course content page which will pull resources either paid or free for a user to learn. We could also develop a roadmap or guideline for the journey. Maybe Gamify the content.
