Case: Danske Bank - Seamless Payments Team: Softy (table A28)
The idea of seamless payments is to expect as little effort from the customer as possible.
What does our idea change about shopping in general? It saves the queueing time for the customers. Less physical effort, no need to put items on the conveyor and back any more. Convenience: no need to remember your credit card (or mess with your phone) any more.
Brief description:
The customers can identify themselves by their fingerprint, and pay without taking any effort, no looking for credit cards or unlocking phones anymore. The only thing they need to do is to make sure the trolley detected (scanned) their items. The trolley has a display that shows their current list of items and the total sum so far. Prevention of theft will be ensured by weighing the items in the trolley, adding up to a sum, which is hard to trick. The customers get errors if unscanned items are placed in the trolley. The receipt is shown automatically when the user approaches the exit, and the gate opens when they have confirmed their payment and transaction succeeded.
