Inspiration

FinFit Quest addresses the need to engage Gen Z and Gen Alpha with Sun Life's products, which focus on retirement planning, wealth management, and health wellness. It uses an interactive, personalized, and gamified approach that resonates with younger audiences, as traditional methods no longer effectively spark their interest or awareness.

By merging gamification with financial and health wellness, FinFit Quest simplifies daunting tasks into manageable, appealing steps. Gamified rewards make these tasks enjoyable, turning otherwise unpleasant activities into engaging and rewarding experiences.

What it does

FinFit Quest is a gamified app that integrates saving, health-tracking wellness challenges, and financial advisory. Users can join various challenges, complete tasks with friends, and earn rewards. Through ongoing achievements, the app instils the importance of health and wealth management, early retirement planning, and building better habits.

  1. Daily Savings & Challenges: Our app encourages big saving goals by doing micro-challenges, whether it's something like a "Save Twice Today" challenge or a "7-day streak", users can earn points and unlock achievements. (this is the first one actually)

  2. Health & Wellness Tracking: Our app integrates step counts, calorie burn, and sleep quality into a gamified environment. Users can earn badges, which they can collect to earn extra points for hitting certain goals, such as walking 10,000 steps or getting bonus coins for consistent sleep times.

  3. Community & Competition: Users that are friends, or even not friends but are using FinFit, form parties to tackle group challenges or adventures, like hitting 30k steps together or hitting a collective savings target. This encourages new players to become daily users.

  4. Rewards & Updates: The achievements in FinFit Quest also give out real-life benefits, giving out discounts to quality foods, paying insurance premiums, paying music subscriptions or even buying virtual skins in famous games, such as Roblox, LOL, adding another layer of fun

Why It Works:

  1. Gamified Engagement: In many popular mobile games, we borrowed the same psychological hooks that many developers use, levels, badges and daily quests so users stay excited about saving money and staying healthy.

  2. Strong Retention: By rewarding progress at every turn, FinFit Quest naturally encourages consistent daily check-ins, something that most banking apps or other step counters fail to achieve.

Product Vision

By leveraging this tool, Sun Life can inspire and empower younger generations to achieve their life goals with motivation and joy, aligning with the core belief of this business case: Building a Brighter Future for the Generations of Tomorrow.

Imagine a world where every time someone chooses to walk instead of drive or to set aside a few dollars, they watch their progress bar fill, their avatar level up, and their real-world savings grow. We see FinFit Quest becoming a hub for mindful living—where better health and better finances feed off one another and become second nature.
