Inspiration

A huge part of adulting is learning to manage your finances. Sorting through finances requires being mindful of your incoming and outgoing money. One way to do so is to create a budget.

What it does

This website helps you to create a budget where you can track your incoming and outgoing money. It also helps you to know the amount of money you're left with at the end of the day. If you are confused about how to spend your remaining money, or just wondering how to manage your expenses, this website comes with helpful resources to build your financial knowledge.

How we built it

This website was built on w3 spaces. It was built using HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap5, and JavaScript.

Challenges we ran into

The challenges solved were: making the website responsive and adding JavaScript code to it.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

This was the first time I built an actual website using JavaScript. It was an amazing experience. I love the simple and minimal design of this website

What we learned

This process of creating something helped me realize that I have a long way to go in the field of web development. I wish to explore different JavaScript frameworks.

What's next for Finex

Finex can become a full-fledged money management tool with charts showing you your yearly budget, notifications to remind you when you're losing track of your financial goals and tracking your investments.
