Inspiration
I am an avid gamer and realized excessive gaming affected my health even if I was not feeling to game excessively. I am also a follower of competitive matches of the favorite games I play and noticed that southeast Asian players did not feature a lot in the pro scene maybe due to a lack of funding from their orgs. I tried to bring the best of both worlds.
What it does
It is an app that tracks user game time and provides timely prompts and black screens while gaming to indicate that you have played a lot of games and it is time to take a rest. The app also provides exercises that help a gamer come out of eye strains and hand pains while gaming. Gaming can also be stressful when you are particularly not good at it. For that reason, our platform provides professional gamers to interact with average gamers and coach them while gaming helping them to have a better experience which will also have them being paid by the user monthly subscription.
How we built it
Basically, I am a freshman in university and have little to no coding experience so I created a detailed presentation and a video to give an idea of the project with also a mockup website which is not yet fully functioning but can be found.
Challenges we ran into
It was difficult to do the financial planning of the project and convert it into a profitable business all the while keeping both the average gamer and professional happy
Accomplishments that we're proud of
This project helped us get into the top 500 positions in the young tycoons business challenge and seeing an overall overview of our project made sense to us and made us proud.
What we learned
Sadly, we have competitors who have quite similar products in terms of approach but they did not really acquire that much fame as their product was really not in demand and there were alternatives to their product which made us realize that we need to be able to deliver something which is in demand and is efficient as our customers; the average gamer and pro players and busy lives and tried to help them in their busy routine.
What's next for Untitled
Basically gaining programming knowledge and overall knowledge on the current market and experienced people to make this vision into a reality.
