Fine Women Academy App

Fine Women Academy App allows easy access for new and current participants to learn and/or interact with them.

Inspiration - The Fine Women Academy organization did not have an App originally. When we were looking for ideas, Ms. Kadja asked if we could build an App for the organization. We explained that we are amateurs and she said "Yes." Ms. Kadja sent an email of what she would like the App to contain.

What it does - The App provides information about the organization and ways to interact and join the organization. There is also a survey component to provide feedback.

How I built it - The organization is under a larger community organization (BENI) and they wanted participants to easily access their information without having to scroll through the BENI site to find their information. The App allows easy access with the click of each button. We created and designed their first App!

Challenges I ran into - We had a difficult time with the Google spreadsheet which records the answers to the survey. Also we were not able to add the Photo Gallery. The wifi restriction makes it difficult to test some features.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of is we were able to build everything Ms. Kadja asked for except for one thing.

What I learned was how to code, the importance of team work and about this organization.

What's next for Fine Women Academy - we plan to add a few items that was recommended during our In-School Challenge like adding a HELP button to explain the App and add the Gallery requested by Ms. Kadja.
