We got inspired by my 4-years-old brother and how he needs to practice his fine motor skills for daily routines. Our project is built to help people with their fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination by focusing on an object and moving it throughout screen while not falling off moving platforms. We think that preschoolers, the elders and people with special needs will benefit from this kind of training.
A challenge that we faced was the spacing of our code was not correct. An accomplishment that we're proud of is getting it done in time even though we only had a few meeting times. We also learned that you can’t have extra pixels in pixel art; otherwise, the anchor will mess up.
We plan on using AI to detect the users' in-the-moment facial expression to detect their emotion (such as frustration, anger or excitement) to adjust the easiness. For example. If the user was getting frustrated, the AI could make the platforms and the character "Monty" bigger so it will become easier for the users to continue with their fine motor skills trainings. This is what we will continue learning so we can apply this particular AI to our project.
