Inspiration

There are many websites helping you to find a house but none to help you find people to live with. Roommate.com is here to fill the gap!

What it does

With machine learning, FindRoommate.com can recommend roommates that best suit your criteria.

How we built it

We used HTML, CSS and JavaScript for the frontend, Flask to respond to requests and call Python script, PyTorch in the backend to perform mini-batch gradient descent machine learning.

Challenges we ran into

The biggest challenged we ran into were collecting data for the user base and learning the new technologies like PyTorch and Flask.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of implementing a machine learning algorithm and communicating between the frontend and backend using Flask.
