Inspiration
We were looking for ideas and one of us suggested: Imagine looking for jobs but it is as simple as swiping over job positions. The job hunting process in the current job market is difficult and tedious. As university students, we face this problem on a daily basis, so we thought that we should make this process a lot simpler and easy.
What it does
Simplifies and minimalizes your entire Job seeking experience.
How we built it
We built this app using Flutter and collaborated by using GitHub and the live coding extension in VS Code. We also used Firebase for all of the backend of the application.
Challenges we ran into
Making an app like this in the given time frame was rather ambitious, and as a result the app isn't full complete. A lot of times getting our UI elements to look the way we desired was a challenge as most of us were new to Flutter and Dart.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of the way our GUI looks, we went for a clean materialistic minimal look. The app has a functional registration and login page which we thought we wouldn't be able to complete in the time frame.
What we learned
Most of our team learnt about the power of Flutter as a app developing platform and how to use it.
What's next for Findr
We hope to make the app fully functional and release it on the iOS App Store and Google Play Store.
