Inspiration

FindMyTeam was inspired by the lack of access students have to meaningful extracurriculars, competitions, and mentorship, despite a rigorous education system. As a student who personally felt this gap, I wanted to build a platform that creates community, guidance, and opportunity.

What it does

FindMyTeam is a mobile app and website that connects students with peers, seniors, and experts for learning support, projects, and competitions. It also helps students find compatible teammates using ML-based matching.

Challenges we ran into

The biggest challenge was designing a system that is inclusive, trustworthy, and simple enough for first-time technology users. Ensuring safety, identity verification, and low data usage while keeping the platform scalable was also difficult.

What I learned

Access to guidance and community is just as important as access to information.

What’s next for FindMyTeam

Next, we plan to develop a working MVP, refine the ML matching system, and pilot the platform with students from underserved regions. Our goal is to scale FindMyTeam to atleast a local collaboration network in the beginning.
