Home Screen that user first sees

Inspiration

A lot of inspiration for this project came from our shared experience and frustration for when we have lost good songs on our YouTube playlists due to them being removed or privated on YouTube. We also felt that this project would align on to the theme of the Give Back Hacks, since this app would help others in not dealing with the frustration of losing a really good song from their YouTube playlist.

What it does

The program asks the user to input their playlist URL. With that URL we are able to retrieve all the videos from that particular playlist in order to save the titles in case the videos get deleted.

How we built it

As the primary language we used C# along with the framework .net in order to retrieve data from API. We also used Xaml for the front-End.

Challenges we ran into

One of the hardest challenges we ran into was fetching data, and connecting the backend to the frontend. Most of us were knew to C# so learning the language was another obstacle.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud of the teamwork that required to begin this project as well dedication.

What we learned

Most of us were knew to C#, so learning the new language was an interesting experience.

What's next for FindMyPlaylist

We plan on adding more functionality such as sorting videos, and making an app.

I worked on the front end. I have previous experience working with GUI using Java and C++ using the Qt Framework.

To help make the GUI for this project, I learned a new programming language called "XAML" on the fly.
