What it does
Users submit a report with details on the missing person and their contact info. Those reports are posted and users can comment on them.
How we built it
We built our website from scratch using Rust, rocket, react, and vite. However before we build our website from scratch we built a website using a website builder since none of us knew how to build websites.
Challenges we ran into
Connecting the front end and the back end (Fetching data from user inputs for both scratch website and editor). Uploading images, restrictions with website editor (unable to use personal code to customize).
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Learning to build a website and connecting the front end and back end (our team is full of back end developers).
What we learned
Building a website, connecting front end and back end, collecting data between ends/utilizing said data.
What's next for FindMe
Map that shows local area of missing person. Persistent database.
