FindMe

Inspiration

While you are traveling getting lost can be problem as it can delay arrival times and overall lower the moral of the trip. FindMe is made to help you find where you are and get back on track.

What it does

Using Wix Velo API it takes the user's latitude and longitude and applies those variables to the googleMap element and pin points your exact location.

How we built it

Built using Wix's Velo platform and their Velo API.

Challenges we ran into

Originally I wanted to build a project (OpenNow) that took a users current longitude and latitude coordinates and then found the nearest restaurants that were actually open based on the time the user sent the request. However, I ran into some issues with getting the right credentials to use Google's Maps API.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I am happy I was able to learn more about javascript and gain a better understanding on APIs.

What we learned

Prioritize time better, and don't be afraid to ask for help next time around.

What's next for FindMe

Try to go back to my original idea in gaining the right credentials to implement the Google Maps api to find nearby open restaurants.
