Inspiration
We all often find ourselves waiting for our friends to show up when we reserved seats for them on Nino. Many of us also searched desperately for the friends we came with to Nino but couldn't find them. We think there should be a better way.
What it does
Finding Nino is basically a map of the "dining room" where anyone can tag themselves and notify their friends.
How we built it
The server side will be a web client built with flask, and it will contact an Android app built with kivy. Kivy is a cross platform engine that could help us easily extend our application for other mobile architectures.
Challenges we ran into
We aren't really experienced with web or android development, and we try and learn as we go. We try and do our based, relying on python to write instead of languages less familiar to us.
What's next for Finding Nino
We hope to extend our app further, after the hackathon if needed, to have a comfortable interface with whatsapp or some other chatting app to comfortably talk to friends, ask them if you can join them at the table and so on.
