Inspiration

I was inspired to do this project because i understand the need of students having this tool. Branching out from our previous space weather research on our paper SELENE, we understood that grants and funds were important for students to have. We realized that students could have a place where they could access the grants they need, it would be revolutionary thus the idea sparking.

What it does

Our app allows the user to search for grants depending on the type of project they are making, and get funding on that with details and deadline for each applicable grant. It also has a chatbot in which u can ask questions regarding the whole process.

How we built it

I built the server with express in node.js . We also built the API calls to the server, allowing the application to load all the ai recommendations and search results

Challenges we ran into

One main challenge we ran into was debugging errors in the code. We were very close to achieving our structured result, but a few small errors kept us hanging which really slowed down the progress. Luckily, we cracked down on those and worked efficiently to minimize error rate.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud that we are able to build an app like this that is really helpful for students, especially those that are trying to be creative and start their own projects. It branches off of our own research that we were aspired to do ourselves.
