Inspiration

Finding reliable local services today is slow, fragmented, and inefficient. People jump between social media, search engines, and phone calls just to compare a few options.

At the same time, skilled service providers miss out on opportunities simply because they’re not visible at the right moment.

We saw a gap: there’s no real-time, intelligent marketplace for local services.

What it does

FindBid is a real-time, AI-powered marketplace that connects people who need services with nearby providers — instantly.

Users post a request with location, time, and details. That request appears live on a map, where providers can immediately see it and submit competitive bids.

How we built it

FindBid is built as a real-time, full-stack system designed for speed and scalability.

Challenges we ran into

Building a real-time, location-based marketplace introduced complex challenges:

Synchronizing live map data across multiple users Handling geospatial queries with real-time updates Designing WebSocket architecture for scalability Integrating AI without adding friction to the UX

What we learned

Through this project we learned how to:

• Build real-time marketplaces
• Integrate AI features into practical workflows
• Design full-stack systems that combine location data, live interactions, and AI assistance

What's next for FindBid

In the future we want to expand the AI capabilities to include smarter provider matching, automatic job categorization, and better price estimation.

We also plan to add secure payments, stronger provider verification, and mobile support to turn FindBid into a complete platform for finding and offering local services.
