Inspiration

The theme for Peddie Hacks was something funny. So I always had an idea of a tricky web app. Since this was the perfect time for it, I built Find your way. A mini game filled with scrolling and laughter.

What it does

Find your way is a website which anyone can access as long as they have an internet connection and a suitable device.
At Find Your Way you find challenging steps which you need to pass.
It all starts with a black and white start page, the first challenge is to find the NEXT button which is completely black and is placed in a black background. It's difficult, but if you have a good tech knowledge and if you are intelligent you can find tips and find the NEXT button. After that too you get several steps which are different from each other that you need to pass.
To understand it you must try it out. It's fun, you will understand how stupid you are or realize how intelligent you are if you pass the whole game without a single failure.
Remember Getting LOL's mean you Fail.
Even at the last moment you find challenges.
Most people won't be able to pass this successfully, try whether you can. Also there is a surprising end.

What's funny

This tricky web app has very funny and silly challenges. I've used a lot of psychology tricks to make you confused. Like a page to scroll, it's endless scrolling if you scroll down. But just 2 secs scroll if you scroll up... Then avoiding the LOL's. It's quite difficult to not get any LOL's, but try to get less than 3 LOL's and you're GREAT!!!

How I built it

Firstly I roughly noted down the challenges and tricky stuff I'll add to the website. After that I started building the challenges. It was easier than other website as it's just black and white and didn't use a lot of CSS. But I used some JS to make some animations etc. Firstly I hosted the website at findyourway.ml and made the video too. But in the last moment I got a .tech domain. So now it's findyourway.tech

Challenges I ran into

The only challenge I ran into was while creating the end surprise. It's to guess your age range according to the way you answer some questions. It was difficult to create that feature but some how managed to do it. I used the help of some online forums etc. to troubleshoot issues that I faced.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

This was my first project in the theme funny Most of my friends liked this project too. I am really proud of that. Also I am proud about successfully building the project with ample time remaining for other tasks too. Also I am proud about the age guessing feature, as it's 80% accurate.
