What it does

Gives you a centralized place for all movies, not just blind googling. And yes, ALL movies.

How we built it

We set up our backend and frontend on Render, using Node.js for the backend and React library for the frontend to faciliate a lot of the work.

Challenges we ran into

Learning a new stack from the bottom up. Debugging when barely knowing how things work.

What's next for Find Your Film

We want to expand Find Your Film and partner with streaming platforms such as Disney+, Netflix, and HBO Max so we can immediately direct viewers to a platform where they can watch the film, thus making their experience even more streamlined and convenient. We also wanted to incorporate some more social features in the future. Adding friends, and being able to recommend specific movies to specific friends. These features would make the website more fun to use and could increase user retention and appeal.
