Find my meal

Inspiration

We’re Shreya and Naina, and we wanted to solve a simple everyday problem: people often have ingredients at home but don’t know what to make with them. This can cause food to go unused or get wasted.

What it does

Find My Meal helps users find meals based on what they already have. It has three modes: Cook With What I Have, Buy Only One, and Use It First.

How we built it

We built the website with the help of Claude. We planned the features, created the design, and used Claude to help us build and improve the website.

Challenges we ran into

Our biggest challenge was deciding which features to include while keeping the website simple and easy to use.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We’re proud that we turned a simple idea into a working website with three useful modes. We’re also proud that this is our first hackathon project!

What we learned

We learned how to turn a real-life problem into a digital solution, plan features, build a website, and use AI as a development tool.

What's next for Find My Meal

We’d like to add more recipes, smarter ingredient matching, and eventually make the recommendations even more personalized.
