What it does
It is a smart key ring which has a bluetooth device in it. We need to connect to the device using a bluetooth smartphone app. When we press the 'FIND MY KEYS" button on the app, the speaker on the key ring device will play and we can detect the presence and location of the key ring.
How we built it
We used the M5Stack Core 2 device for designing the smart key ring. We then used the smartphone app creator MIT APP INVENTOR" for creating the app.
Challenges we ran into
We faced some problem while creating the APP as we both didn't know app development. But after going through some YOutube videos, we used the MIT APP Inventor and it turned out to be very useful.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The smartphone app is able to connect to the Smart Key Ring through Bluetooth and we can switch ON the device speaker using the app.
What we learned
We learned to make an APP using the MIT APP INVENTOR. and also we learnt to connect Bluetooth to the smartphone app from an Arduino device.
What's next for Find-My-Keys
We will try to add some more features based on more user feedback.
