Inspiration
The inspiration behind FMFF came from a widespread operational gap—field teams were being managed through scattered tools, manual updates, and reactive decisions. With no real-time visibility or unified system, managers struggled to track progress, optimize routes, or validate on-ground activities. This led to inefficiencies, missed opportunities, and wasted resources.
What it does
FMFF was created to transform that reality—by bringing together mapping and automation one seamless platform that empowers organizations to manage their field operations with precision, clarity, and confidence.
How we built it
Find My Field Force was built for real-time visibility, scalability, and intelligent automation. It leverages Google Maps APIs—including Maps JavaScript, Geocoding, Autocomplete, Geofencing, and Routes—to power rich location-based features. The tech stack includes Node.js, MongoDB, and React, ensuring a responsive, scalable, and modular system.
Bulk task uploads, real-time sync, and queuing systems ensure smooth performance under high load, with built-in security and access control for enterprise readiness.
Challenges we ran into
Building FMFF came with several technical and operational challenges. Ensuring real-time location accuracy across varying network conditions required robust fallback mechanisms. Scaling geofencing and route optimization without compromising performance was a key hurdle, especially as user volume grew. Supporting large Excel uploads and syncing bulk tasks smoothly demanded efficient background processing. Balancing routes with real-world variables like traffic and timing took ongoing refinement. Additionally, implementing flexible, role-based access while maintaining data security, and integrating multiple APIs into a seamless workflow, required careful architecture and testing. Each challenge shaped FMFF into a more resilient, intelligent platform.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
One of our proudest accomplishments is seeing FMFF adopted as the foundation for a large-scale internal solution by a major telecom provider in the Philippines. The platform has significantly improved operational efficiency, reduced task turnaround time, and brought real-time visibility to teams across regions. FMFF has also helped businesses like TreeDots streamline their sustainable supply chain. Beyond client success, the platform has driven notable growth in Google Maps and Cloud usage—validating our vision of intelligent, map-powered field operations at scale.
What we learned
Field operations demand simplicity, speed, and precision. Real-time data is only valuable when it’s actionable, and seamless user experience is just as critical as powerful technology.Next, FMFF will leverage Vertex AI for smarter task predictions and dynamic scheduling. Immersive Routes will offer agents a clearer view of their journey. We're also adding predictive alerts and deeper performance insights to make field ops truly proactive.
