Inspiration
As we were discussing the upcoming internship application season, we thought of an idea where we can find all the jobs that fit our skillset.
What it does
The user uploads their resume and then the application returns jobs that have skills that match with those on their resume.
How we built it
Using Python (Flask), MongoDB, and Linode.
Challenges we ran into
Designing an efficient algorithm to match and parse large amounts of data.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
That we have enough to demo.
What we learned
Not to let Darren use my credit card for a free domain sign up (he accidentally charged my card).
What's next for Find Me a Job
To add a notification system using Pagerduty, multiple sources for broader data range.
