Inspiration

There is a lack of financial knowledge among people. This lack of knowledge significantly lowers their chances of financial success in life. If people can be educated about their finances they are much more likely to be financially stable.

What it does

Finco helps users understand financial concepts and teaches them about money management through tips and advice.

How we built it

We built the website using HTML, CSS, and PHP.

Challenges we ran into

There were a lot of problems with alignment and redirecting of certain pages. Since none of us had experience with HTML beforehand and we are perfectionists, we were often overwhelmed by the details.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were able to create a website with a simple UI anyone can use since our product is made for people who don't know much about personal finance.

What we learned

We were able to learn the process for website development and get exposure to new programming languages for first time hackers in our group. We were also able to pick up some financial knowledge for ourselves as we were researching financial topics we included on our website.

What's next for FINCO

Finco still has a long way to go. In the future it can see addition of the features we listed, and we hope to add new pages that will display important information for each user after they login/signup.
