Finbot -

Inspiration Our inspiration for Finbot stems from a strong desire to empower minority groups, especially immigrants, by enhancing their financial literacy. We believe that access to financial education is a critical step towards economic empowerment and independence.

What it does Finbot is a dynamic website designed to provide minority communities, particularly immigrants, with the resources and knowledge they need to enhance their financial literacy. Our platform combines cutting-edge technology with personalized financial education, making it easier for users to take control of their financial futures.

How we built it Building Finbot was a comprehensive full-stack endeavor. The front end was crafted using React and Tailwind CSS to ensure a responsive and user-friendly interface. On the backend, we harnessed the power of AWS to create a robust and scalable foundation.

Our AWS backend relied on serverless architecture, featuring an API Gateway supported by several Node.js Lambda functions. This setup allows for efficient and cost-effective handling of requests while ensuring smooth interactions between users and the platform.

Challenges we ran into Our journey with Finbot presented several challenges that pushed our team to innovate and adapt:

Time Constraint: Like many hackathon projects, we had to work within tight time constraints. This pressured us to prioritize features and stay agile throughout development.

Backend Complexity: Implementing the backend, especially the serverless components, required overcoming complexities inherent to cloud computing. Debugging and optimizing Lambda functions tested our problem-solving skills.

Bugs: Debugging can be challenging, and we encountered a few particularly elusive bugs that required a systematic and patient approach to resolve.

Accomplishments that we're proud of Through dedication and teamwork, we achieved several milestones we're proud to highlight:

UI Design: We invested significant effort in crafting an appealing and intuitive user interface. The result is a design that enhances the user experience and fosters engagement with financial education.
