Inspiration We were inspired by our own problems and needs. It's very common for groups of young people to not know how to manage their money, and as a result, they lack the habit of saving.
What it does The tool aims to help you with your finances by providing graphics and a personality AI that will give you advice.
How we built it We primarily used Flask with Python and MongoDB. For the AI, we used LLAMA from Meta, and finally, HTML, CSS, and a bit of JavaScript.
Challenges we ran into We are participating in the Capital One challenge.
Accomplishments that we're proud of We are proud of the project and our teamwork. It was a fun experience full of learning and growth.
What we learned We learned how to use LLAMA and MongoDB.
What's next for FinBalance We plan to finish implementing all the ideas, optimize the database, create a more personalized chat with the AI, and provide full control over your expenses.
