Inspiration
Our inspiration came from the challenge provided by National Bank, to graph the data they provided and then use it to build a tool using machine learning to predict significant changes in the stock.
What it does
Currently it only displays the data selected using graphs with options to change the time range.
Challenges we ran into
It was 3 of our team members' first hackathon so we definitely spent most of our time learning. We pivoted projects several times throughout the day on Saturday and only decided on building this website 10 hours in just before my other teammates went home. This left me with very little time to build a project and very little help with it. Therefore, I focused on the first part of the National Bank challenge and did not get to the second. The code to redeem a domain name given by McHacks did not work either so I could not redeem a domain name therefore the project only runs locally.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We completed our first hackathon and learned a lot from it.
What's next for Financial Modeling
Completing the second part of the challenge; building a tool to predict significant changes in the stock.
