Inspiration

Non-native English speakers often struggle with learning financial terminology, which is essential for navigating global markets and investment opportunities. We aimed to create an adaptive system that bridges the gap between language and financial literacy, empowering users to master both simultaneously.

What it does

The system allows users to define specific financial terms they wish to learn. It then generates AI-crafted articles incorporating these terms within real-world financial contexts, such as market analysis and investment strategies. Users read the articles, mark unknown words, and query their meanings. Upon completing an article, new terms are added to the user's learning list, creating a continuous cycle of personalized financial language education.

How we built it

We used AI language models to analyze the difficulty level of selected terms and generate articles tailored to users’ proficiency. The system integrates a user-friendly interface for term selection, vocabulary tracking, and real-time article adjustments. Backend development includes adaptive learning algorithms that update user progress dynamically.

Challenges we ran into

Balancing article complexity while ensuring the inclusion of selected terms was challenging. Another difficulty was designing a seamless user interface that caters to diverse proficiency levels and supports effective vocabulary tracking.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We successfully created a system that not only teaches financial English but also contextualizes it within practical scenarios, making it highly engaging for non-native speakers. The adaptive feedback loop ensures users continuously build their financial vocabulary efficiently.

What we learned

We gained deeper insights into the unique challenges faced by non-native English speakers in learning financial terminology. Additionally, we refined our understanding of adaptive learning technologies and their role in personalized education.

What's next for Financial English Learning Material Generation System

We plan to expand the system’s scope by incorporating interactive quizzes, multilingual support, and advanced analytics to track user progress. Collaborating with financial educators and institutions will help scale the platform to benefit more learners globally.
