Inspiration
We were inspired by the PIMCO project because as college students were are all trying to be increasingly financially responsible.
What it does
Our website allows users to compare stock prices and view expert recommendations on potential investments. It also allows user to save monthly budgeting data to their personalized account in order to manage their goals over the course of a year.
How we built it
We built our website using React, JavaScript, and HTML development. We incorporated our back end non-relational database through firebase in order to allow users to login and store their unique data.
Challenges we ran into
Some challenges we ran into was combining the firebase backend with the react front end in order to create the budget tracking functionality.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Further accessing the created database for users, as well as utilizing several API calls all through the project.
What we learned
We learned how to better use react and firebase in order to create full stack applications.
What's next for Financial Dashboard
Next we plan to expand our user base and create more customization for a more personalized user experience. We also hope to utilize more APIs rather than simply free options in order to provide better financial advice.
