Inspiration
We wanted to compete in the Truist financial game challenge, however we were struggling to come up with a title and Idea for our game. We wanted to make a game related to this year's theme Unleash your inner rockstar, but somehow make it financial. That is when we thought of the show that makes a lot of products and companies into stars, Shark Tank. That is why we made a quiz game with the idea that it would ask questions related to business, that resembled how the sharks on the show Shark Tank ask similar questions to the contests they brought to the show.
What it does
It is hosted on a website provided by GoDaddy, and opens up to a signup page. After filling out the page with an email address and desired password, a confirmation email would be sent to the user's email. Once the user has logged into the email, then their log in information will be saved, and won't have to sign in again. We created a engaging, and customer friendly UI that displays user information and points. Points can be earned based on the number of questions answered correctly during a quiz. Quizzes can be accessed by pressing the Blast Off button, then the quizzes button on the next screen. Points earned are saved and shared via a public leaderboard, allowing users to compete for the top score.
How we built it
We built our game using Unity.
Challenges we ran into
We ran into various problems when we were first implementing the user authorization part of the game. No one in our team had any knowledge in this field and had to learn as we coded.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of how easy to use and intuitive our game is, while still being fun, engaging, while fostering healthy competitiveness, and encouraging learning . We are also extremely proud of incorporating machine learning in order to adjust the difficulty of our quiz to match the user's skill level.
What we learned
We learned that there are still many areas we need to improve in , and that familiarizing ourselves with a variety of different platforms, will make our the smoothness and quickness of our workflow.
What's next for Financial Analysis Game
Next year we plan to build a bigger and more complex game, with a lot more features that will make our game one of the best game on the market.
