Inspiration
Financeopoly draws inspiration from the classic Monopoly game, teaching financial concepts like budgeting, asset management, interest, and taxes. This project transforms learning into an engaging 4-player experience, combining human strategy with AI-driven gameplay.
What it does
The project is a simple game inspired by Monopoly, featuring a human player competing against three AI players. The game incorporates all the elements of a traditional Monopoly game, complete with their definitions and functionalities.
How we built it
The project utilizes React for the frontend and Sanity as the database. All state changes in the game are dynamically updated in Sanity. Additionally, Google authentication is implemented to enable secure user login and access. The project utilizes meta-llama model for AI logic part.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The accomplishments to be proud of include its intuitive UI, excellent UX, and an accessible learning approach for understanding basic financial terms.
What we learned
We learnt handing complex state with redux while building the project.
What's next for Financeopoly
Future enhancements could involve adding more states to the game, making it both more engaging and a richer resource for learning.
