Financeflow Pro

Finance Flow Pro is a budgeting and personal finance tracking app designed to help users clearly understand their income, expenses, and savings goals in an intuitive way. My teammate Prushti and I built this project because we both struggled with managing money during university rent, tuition, daily expenses, and unexpected costs made it hard to track where our money was going. We realized many students face the same problem, so we wanted to create a smart and simple way to keep track of spending habits. Through this project, we learned how to design a user-friendly interface, structure financial data, connect frontend and backend logic, and build responsive dashboards. One of the biggest challenges was organizing financial categories and automatically calculating totals, monthly summaries, and savings progress, especially with irregular income and variable expenses. A key feature of Finance Flow Pro is fraud detection. When a large or unusual transaction is added, the system flags it so users can review and confirm whether it is legitimate or potentially fraudulent, helping them stay financially safe. Overall, this project helped us combine programming, UI design, and financial concepts into a practical tool that helps students and everyday users manage money more effectively in their day-to-day lives.
