Inspiration : I noticed that the way my family members handled finances was very different. My mother always thinks about saving money with groceries, to manage the home, typical home maker stuff whereas my dad is the bread winner so he thinks about different investments or how he can earn more money. My brother on the other hand, who is a teenager, worries about his pocket money and how he would spend it wisely to fulfill his needs like traveling, hanging out with friends, etc. And my grandparents who are now retired, think about wisely utilizing their pension for their needs and also try to save some amount for the future.

Just like this there could be millions of users for different use cases. Why not create one platform that serves all. Thats when i thought of creating this app. Finance in different Flavors.

What it does This app will give you financial advice, based on your user role (situation), location, your goal and any other information you want it to have. There is also a chatbot integrated just in case the user wants to talk further.

How we built it There are 4 input fields. User Role, User Location, Help You Need today and Any Other Information. There are two output boxes; 1 for advice and other a chatbot. Both of them will give tailored responses based on the input variables and creative prompt engineering.

Challenges we ran into The main challenges would be to engineer a creative prompt that would give creative as well as useful responses which will also grab the user's attention.

Accomplishments that we're proud of One would be to be able to give tailored responses based on user roles. Second would be to achieve the tone depending on the user. If it is a teen, then the bot will give a more creative reply and if its an old person then it will give more to the point outputs.

What we learned I learned a lot about prompt engineering and how i can utilize the LLms to work in my favor. We can make it do literally anything just with the right set of instructions.

What's next for FinanceFlavor The future for this could be a full fledged AI Finance assistant with improved UI and more fine tuned model that will give the most precise output as possible.
