Finance101 Project Overview

Inspiration

My inspiration for Finance101 stemmed from observing that many friends aged 18 and above are unaware that regular savings accounts can earn interest. I wanted to create an app that educates users about basic financial concepts and encourages smarter financial decisions.

What It Does

Finance101 serves as an educational platform that:

• Teaches Financial Literacy: Provides information on key financial topics such as saving, budgeting, and investing.
• Tracks Finances: Allows users to log their income and expenses for better financial management.
• Offers Resources: Includes articles, tips, and tools to help users make informed financial choices.
• Offers Financial Calculator: A tool to help users understand the impact of savings and investments.
• Allows Mock Investing: A simulated investing environment where users can practice trading without real financial risk.
• Offers Quizzes: Interactive quizzes to test users' knowledge and reinforce learning.

How We Built It

I developed Finance101 using the Base 44, a vibe coding tool, which emphasizes a modern, user-friendly experience.

Challenges We Ran Into

During the development process, I faced several challenges:

2. Technical Hurdles: Integrating various features and ensuring the app runs smoothly required extensive testing.
