Inspiration

The inspiration for this project came directly from our own daily life basis expenditure. As university students, we realized that every day involves dozens of small, scattered expenses—from morning tea and local bus fares to photocopies and late-night snacks. Keeping track of where every Rupee goes is exhausting, and it’s easy to lose track of your budget by the middle of the month. We wanted to build a tool that solves this personal pain point by turning the chaotic reality of daily student spending into a clear, manageable, and smart financial plan.

What it does

Uni Finance Tracker serves as a digital "pocket diary" that thinks. It simplifies the way students interact with their money:

Daily Expense Logging: Optimized for speed, allowing students to log daily life expenditures (like food, transport, or stationery) in seconds.

Dynamic Dashboard: Provides a high-level view of daily and monthly financial health, showing exactly how much is left after today's spending.

Targeted Budgeting: Users can set strict monthly limits on specific categories that matter most to student life in Nepal, such as "Rent," "Stationery," and "Food."
