Inspiration
As college students we know that finding housing isn't always the easiest task. Especially when it comes to finding budget friendly housing, so that's why we created this tool that make it easier for users to find houses they can purchase.
What it does
This housing finance application uses your budget and preferences to provide you with suggestions for locating budget-friendly housing options. It seamlessly connects you with platforms like apartments.com to help you discover affordable housing solutions.
How we built it
We constructed the application, employing a blend of HTML and CSS to bring it to life.
Challenges we ran into
Some short challenges we encountered during development included design inconsistency and formatting issues with CSS. We worked to resolve as best as could through the challenges we encountered.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of working together to come up with solutions and designing the backbone of the code to function towards helping new homeowners to work through their finances and find houses that are affordable to purchase nearby.
What we learned
We learned the importance of planning and writing the details of how the application will connect with other functioning features, as it plays a huge role in connecting all the features to work together to hollistically create a functioning application that one can use.
What's next for Housing Finance Application
Pushing the notifications to users when new houses are available based on their preference will be our main focus moving forward. In addition, we would like to automate our calculations done for monthly mortgages of potential houses they want to purchase, as well as, including down-payments and loans that the users can put down and receive respectively. Lastly, formatting and adjusting placements on our website with aesthetic add-ons is what we would like to fix in the future.
