Tamagotchi game + Financial literacy

What it does

Finagotchi is a Python/Pygame-based educational game where players care for a virtual pet whose wellbeing depends on their financial decisions. Make smart decisions, and your Finagotchi thrives. Overspend and your pet struggles. Through this feedback loop, players naturally learn core personal finance principles such as: Budgeting — Balancing income and expenses Spending Wisely — Prioritizing needs over wants Financial Responsibility — Managing resources with care

Learning how to use version control with github. Implementing multiple classes in our program. Learning how to use pygames.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were able to make a fully functional prototype with the main functionality within the limited time frame.

Version control in github, figma, pygames, and development and collaboration with others.

What's next for Finagotchi

In the future we would like to Implement AI for the tips & events to make it more dynamic, unique, and personalized to each role. We also want to incorporate manual savings & investing to emphasize the importance of long term financial planning. Along with that we would like to include a phishing event to teach users about cyber safety and a leaderboard to make it competitive.
