Purpose: The project allows a consumer to scan a barcode on a product of theirs that they need to pick up. This can include food, snacks or any other UPC Standard product. The item is then added to an Android app where the user can then modify the contents of the list. This could further be used as a calorie consumption tool as well as provide recipes based on the contents of the cart. On the business side, companies can use consumer trends and analytics to offer sales to the clients based on consumption habits.

Description: A barcode scanner connected to a pc or raspberry pi will scan a barcode, search the barcode online and upload the product information to a database that is accessed in the mobile app. The mobile app can then be used to delete items as needed. Future plans to improve the product could include allowing the app to scan barcodes as well as QR codes, stronger analytics for companies and more consumer tools as mentioned in the project's purpose.
