Inspiration

The whole world is fighting against coronavirus. The government, doctors, police, delivery men, cleaners, social workers, etc are all working selflessly to save our lives. It is really incredible to see them working for us and risking their own lives. This is an opportunity to contribute something to society in these tough times. Through this e-book, we can make children aware of coronavirus and their responsibilities toward society. After all, they are the future superheroes for the world.

What it does

'Fight against corona with Harry' introduces Harry, a school going boy, who is upset because he is unable to meet his friends. Harry has no idea what is going on around the world and why his mom is not allowing him to go outside. His mom explains to him about the coronavirus and explains simplistically how viruses work, how pandemics spread, how he can stay healthy and make the most out of quarantine. She also gives him moral values like what are our responsibilities towards society and environmental issues. All this information helps Harry to understand the situation and made him manage the stress because he has a lot of amazing things to learn and have fun at the same time.

How I built it

First of all, we think of a story which a child age between can easily relate and understand. Then we started drawing all the illustrations on the paper with the crayons. After that, we scanned all the illustrations and edited them on a MAC and uploaded it to the crello. On the crello, we did most of the designing work.

Challenges I ran into

Structuring accurate and useful content for children such that while reading the book they should be able to understand the information and their duties toward society. Thinking and drawing illustrations such that they look appealing to children and keep them excited in reading what's next.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

Writing and illustrating this book for the children around the book. We are very happy with the final product. This is the first e-book that we have completed in less than 48 hrs. And we made all the pictures with crayons on paper and used them in this e-book.
