Dream Watcher

Inspiration

We took inspiration from a variety of different sleep tracking apps and how people use those to monitor and track their sleep patterns for their health. we wanted to take it a step deeper, to see if we could monitor our dreams too.

What it does

We wanted users to enhance their sense of euneirophrenia by making them an app that helps them experience their dreams better by helping their mental state.

How we built it

We took many different steps to get to our end goal. First, we started to brainstorm using a FigJam board where we wrote down all our ideas and thoughts. We then began to figure out a style, which included fonts, colors, and more, and then we moved on and began working on our lo-fidelity designs for our app. After making different designs for our app, we put it through Figma. Through trial and error and seeing what worked and what didn't work, we finally got to our finished product.

Challenges we ran into

When working on our project we ran into many different problems but our biggest problem was figma make. it felt like trying to explain rocket science to a 12 year old. it was confusing and challenging but we managed to work around it to get to our end goal.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We worked hard to make our design and worked hard together as a team. Firstly we are proud to be able to even compete in Fig Build. Getting through this project is a big Accomplishments in and of itself but, most importantly, we are proud of what we made.

What we learned

This was our team's first year doing the fig build challenge. We learned how to work together as a team and how to get over hurdles that weren’t planned for. Everything we did this last couple of days will continue to help us become better designers.

What's next for Dream Watcher

Since this project was a first for our team we hope to be able to take what we learn from this experience and apply it to future projects. Because we are still in school and are still learning how to be better designers, we hope to be able to be back next year and show off our new skills.
