FieldClear is a simulated Alexa+ console for small blue-collar operators. Built for the Alexa+ track using the hackathon’s allowed “simulated Alexa+ experience in a web app” path.
Northline Mechanical is seeded with four trucks, three jobs, a spend policy, and audit history — no API keys required for the demo.
Say things like:
- “Clear a $240 parts order for truck 3”
- “What’s pending for Acme Plumbing?”
- “Draft a customer SMS confirming tomorrow’s install”
Each utterance runs through an agentic tool loop (listTools / callTool) with four MCP-shaped tools: policy.check, ledger.append (hash-linked append-only), jobs.lookup, and sms.draft (always returns unsent). Spend answers cannot finish if policy.check was skipped.
Optional AWS Builder path: set USE_BEDROCK=true to plan tool calls via Amazon Bedrock Converse (documented in README); default is a local planner so judges can try it instantly.
Product feedback (required): Used Alexa+ simulated web path + MCP-shaped tools (tools/list + tools/call in-process). Onboarding to the simulated path was clear from Devpost Resources. Would build again. Friction: Streamable HTTP MCP hosting on serverless is still heavy for a solo weekend; the simulated path made a coherent demo shippable. Want clearer sample Agent Skill templates for blue-collar / B2B ops use cases.
